What to expect
Treatment time: 30 minutes to 1 hour. A numbing cream is applied first.
During: a mild sensation of warmth and pressure.
Sessions: usually 4–6 sessions about 4 weeks apart.
Afterwards: slight redness or swelling that settles within hours to a few days.
Aftercare:
- Strict sun protection and daily sunscreen
- Avoid rubbing, sweating and swimming for 1–2 weeks
- Avoid peels, scrubs, face packs and facials for 2 weeks
- Restart other skin creams only as your dermatologist advises
